SAFEGUARDING STATEMENTKing’s Group Academies is committed to providing high standards of safeguarding for children and adults across the Trust by promoting the welfare and safety of all. It expects all staff and volunteers within the trust to share this commitment.
The Trust is committed to creating a caring, positive, safe, and stimulating environment that fosters the social, physical, and moral development of each child. We strive to ensure that every student feels secure, well cared for, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Our staff collectively recognises the importance of cultivating an atmosphere where children feel safe and respected, promoting a culture that encourages open communication and instils confidence that their voices will be heard.
The Trust acknowledges the essential role that Trustees, Governors, staff, parents/carers, and students play in safeguarding our children. Every adult is expected to contribute to the safety and well-being of our young people. Each school supports this commitment by providing thorough safeguarding and child protection training across the academic year for all staff.
If you have concerns about the welfare of a pupil or student at any of our schools, or if you wish to report a safeguarding issue, please contact the Designated Safeguarding Lead at the respective school. You can find the relevant details on each school’s website linked below

King's Group Academies (KGA) will ensure all policies linked to the safeguarding of children are updated in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education. The policies are accessible to all staff through the staff intranet and through the school websites. Policies and procedures are reviewed and revised regularly by the Trustees of KGA and Local Governing Body of each academy.
Each academy within KGA:
- completes an annual internal safeguarding audit and addresses any highlighted areas for further development led by the trust safeguarding lead
- may be, where appropriate, externally audited by an objective safeguarding professional and addresses highlighted development points
- has the single central record reviewed at least on a half termly basis
- attends the KGA safeguarding meetings on a half termly basis and cascades to deputy safeguarding leads and other staff as appropriate
- inputs into a half termly report to the Board of Trustees which is then scrutinised and rigorously analysed
- ensures Designated Safeguarding Leads attend regular safeguarding meetings and training held by their Local Children's Safeguarding Partnership Board
- ensures all designated leads within the Trust take part in regular supervision meetings
